a friend of mine [link] has the need of a mentor. now me, i have no idea of how to help him, having no background in his scope of learning. so my answer to him was simply..........

........You have all my support for what it's worth!

........for what may be right or wrong in you specialized field, ........there I'm lost I'm afraid...

........I can tell you what I like and MAYBE why, but that's it....

So this made me think of how we can actual support our fellow artists in what they believe is the way to go forward. Anyone?

A few years back I had a conversation/difference of opinion with a winemaker for a well known brand of cellars that sell wine worldwide.

To make a long story short: I believe what "sells" ie. what people (and you of course) like, is what matters! Not what the norm says is the way a "good" wine (painting/art/etc) should taste like. He, of course did not agree...

This of course is just my take on life, the way I see it.
Be yourself!

Also life is to short to make all your mistakes by yourself...
